Prince Charles has taken his campaign to save the rainforests to the next level. The 60-year-old royal has recruited a number of leading Hollywood names, including James Bond star Daniel Craig and Indiana Jones actor Harrison Ford, to campaign for his cause.
The eco-conscious signed up the stars to appear in his new Al Gore-style public awareness film which warns about the dangers of deforestation on climate change. The 90-minute film got its online preview through MySpace on Tuesday and on the Prince's eco website at 6pm - the same time Charles launched it at the National Geographic store.

In real life, though, Brosnan is more into gentle, peaceful whales.
The longtime eco-activist and his wife, Keely, descended upon the swank new Capitol Visitor Center this week to stump for the International Fund for Animal Welfare. The pair cohosted a cocktail event promoting the marine conservation bill sponsored by Rep. Bill Delahunt (D-Mass.) and Del. Eni Faleomavaega (D-American Samoa).

A museum dedicated to films of secret agent James Bond is to open in Cumbria.
The Bond Museum will feature a host of vehicles and gadgets used in the series of action films.
The collection is housed on the site of a former supermarket in Keswick and according to owner Peter Nelson it will be the world's first Bond museum.
Among the highlights are a convertible Triumph Stag driven by Sean Connery in Diamonds Are Forever and the Lotus Esprit Turbo from The Spy Who Love Me.
The museum also boasts a Russian T55 battle tank from GoldenEye, and the original Colibri gun from The Man with the Golden Gun.
Pierce Brosnan is the sexiest Irish celebrity, according to a new poll.
Over a quarter of UK women decided the Die Another Day man is the sexiest Irish star as he beat Colin Farrell and Boyzone frontman Ronan Keating to first place.
The women polled decided to forgive his questionable singing in the smash hit film and instead remembered his suave performance as James Bond to name him the hottest man from across the ocean.
Pierce Brosnan is splashing out $9.1 million on a state-of-the-art mansion.
The former James Bond actor is building a new home in Malibu, California, and is keen for it to include all the latest high-tech gadgets and features.
A source said: "Pierce has always loved technology and playing Bond only cemented that love. He says this will be his dream house and it will have every possible boy's toy imaginable, plus a few for his wife Keely Shaye Smith.
"It will have a high-definition home theatre which Pierce says will rival anything out there for clarity and sound. And the security system is going to revolve around pressure sensors in the flooring and infrared lights."
The two-storey property will also have a basement gym, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a music room and games room as well as a library which includes a walk-in cigar humidor.

Dame Judi Dench has joined Daniel Craig's campaign to get Q and Miss Moneypenny back in the James Bond films.
The 74-year-old actress - who play MI5 chief M in the movies - told the Daily Telegraph she would love John Cleese and Samantha Bond to reprise their roles and bring some humour back to Bond.
Dame Judi said: "That would be good if it was thought right to bring back those characters. Wouldn't it be Samantha Bond as Miss Moneypenny and John Cleese as Q. Who else?"
Asked if she'll be returning as M in the next 007 film she replied: "You bet. As M you get to treat this powerful man very, very badly."
Daniel Craig, who has brought a hard edge to Bond's playboy character, said recently: "We can do anything with the next film and, if we want to bring back Miss Moneypenny and Q then we can."

Corgi has had a long association with the James Bond brand with one of its best known models being the James Bond gold painted Aston Martin DB5.
Since Hornby’s takeover of Corgi in 2008, the firm has been working to regain the Bond licence in order to create more iconic models.
Now, with the return of the die-cast 1:36 scale 007 cars, the company will once again be associated with the James Bond brand from both classic and modern films. The deal will also encompass the next Bond film to be made.
Frank Martin, chief executive of Hornby commented: "We are delighted to have the Bond licence back with the Corgi brand. It was a ‘must get’ after acquisition of Corgi last year as we feel it the perfect association for Corgi."

"Quantum" tops domestic James Bond box office .: || 01/13/2009 - 12:01 AM ||
"Quantum of Solace" has raked in $167.5 million at domestic box offices, becoming in current dollars the highest grossing James Bond movie in the United States and Canada, the studio behind it said on Thursday.
The film surpassed 2006's "Casino Royale," the previous Bond movie, which made $167.4 million in the United States and Canada. "Casino" still holds the worldwide box office record for the franchise with $594.2 million.
Since it opened on November 14, "Quantum" has made $550 million worldwide, said studio Columbia Pictures, a division of Sony Corp's Sony Pictures Entertainment. The film is still playing in theaters, and has yet to open in Japan.

With Quantum of Solace already passing the $150 million mark, things are still looking bright for the future of the James Bond franchise now lead by Daniel Craig. Even though not everyone loved Solace, most have come to respect Craig as a formidable Bond that challenges the likes of even Sean Connery.
Collider talked with Craig recently and got an update on where they might head next.
"We've finished this story as far as I'm concerned," Craig asserts. "We've got a great set of bad guys. There is an organization that we can use whenever we want to. The relationship between Bond and M is secure and Felix is secure. Let's try and find where Moneypenny came from and where Q comes from. Let's do all that and have some fun with it."

Unmade Bond script fetches £46K .: || 12/08/2008 - 1:42 AM ||
A screenplay for a James Bond film that was never made has been sold at auction in London for £46,850.
The script for Warhead, written by Sir Sean Connery, author Len Deighton and producer Kevin McClory, had been expected to fetch no more than £3,000.
In the 1976 script, Bond battles robot sharks attempting to plant a nuclear bomb in sewers underneath New York. Legal battles stopped the film being made.
Sir Sean eventually played 007 again in 1983's Never Say Never Again.

Activision Blizzard has confirmed that a racing-orientated James Bond title is in development at Bizarre Creations.
The game, which isn't tied to a movie storyline, has just been announced at a Massive Inc event where the publisher was showcasing a range of new titles.
There were no further details, other than it's due out in September 2009.

The 44-year-old copy of Fleming's 1964 novel You Only Live Twice is from the first edition printed in the UK.
Inside the front cover of the book, Fleming has written: "To the real James Bond from the thief of his identity. Ian Fleming, Feb 5, 1964 (a great day)."
The book was given as a present to American ornithologist James Bond, who died shortly after he received the gift.
His name was the inspiration for the now iconic character codenamed 007 when Fleming wrote his first novel, Casino Royale, in the early 1950s.

The 46-year-old is one half, along with Robert Wade, of one of Britain's most successful screenwriting partnerships. “To write a 007 film is a dream come true,” he says.
Being a scriptwriter may not be as glamorous as other dream careers, such fighter pilot or brain surgeon - Mr Purvis writes most of his scripts on a laptop sitting alone in a café - but it is just as difficult to succeed. It took Mr Purvis and Mr Wade many years to attain their success.

The latest James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" has notched up a month at the top of the box office, blowing away the competition for a fourth straight weekend according to Screen International.
The 22nd official Bond film, with Daniel Craig in his second outing as 007, earned another 2.8 million pounds for a total of 45.1 million pounds so far.
Its nearest rival, director Ridley Scott's espionage drama "Body of Lies" which came in at No. 2, could only manage 991,979 pounds, despite boasting stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.

Guests at Madame Tussauds New York and Madame Tussauds Las Vegas had the chance to get up close and personal with the world’s most famous secret agent, 007, as the attractions unveiled wax figures of Daniel Craig as James Bond today.
Madame Tussauds has partnered with QUANTUM OF SOLACE to create the figures. Each attraction will have its own Daniel Craig figure.
The figures were launched to celebrate the arrival of the eagerly anticipated 22nd Bond film, QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Visitors can measure up to 007- the ultimate espionage expert – and enjoy some MI6 interactive twists. The wax Bond in New York is housed in a recreated set from the film and surrounded by the sights and sounds of an MI6 forensic and briefing room on the attraction’s fifth floor, while the Vegas 007 will be in a party atmosphere, complete with stills from the film, in the attraction’s lobby.
