As part of the activities of the Islamic Arts Festival in its twenty-fourth edition “Tradations”, the Department of Cultural Affairs in the Department of Culture, in cooperation with the Union of Arab Photographers, organized yesterday evening, Wednesday, at the House of Wisdom, a photography exhibition “Aesthetics of Islamic Architecture”.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Qusayr, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs in the department, and Adib Shaaban, President of the Federation.
296 Arab photographers from 18 Arab countries participated in the competition with 503 photographs, where 40 works were selected in the competition exhibition. The first place was won by Muhammad Khaled Al-Masabi from the Emirates, the second place went to Youssef Musa Al-Badi from Sudan, and the third place was taken by Ahmed Youssef Jumaa from UAE.
Al-Qaseer expressed his admiration for the works participating in the exhibition, and the three winning works in the competition, which expressed the smart ideas and inspiring artistic visions that the Arab photographer enjoys as one of the creative means, enriching the cultural and artistic scene with beautiful works, which reflect the environment of Arab society by focusing on aesthetics.
