The intention with water cuts in Bogotá is to guarantee permanent supply to all users, especially in the current emergency situation that the country is experiencing due to COVID-19.
These scheduled works seek to reduce the effects of major damage to the pipes or water supply accessories and to carry them out, a few water cuts.

If your neighborhood is on the list of those scheduled for water shutoff follow these recommendations:
- Keep in perfect condition the internal installations of drinking water and wastewater (pipes, taps and toilets, among others).
- Wash storage tanks at least twice a year.
- Store enough water in the tanks for the duration of the suspension of service.
- If you store water in containers, keep them covered and consume within 24 hours.
