The dispute between estranged couple Amber Heard and Johnny Depp doesn’t seem to end any time soon. New details are surfacing about the case, more trouble for Amber Heard.
According to a report, Amber Heard is being accused of body shaming and degrading Johnny Depp. This accusation was made by one of Depp’s estate managersTara Roberts while talking about the libel case in the court.
Back in 2016, Heard filed for divorce and also obtained a temporary restraining order against him stating that he has been abusive (both verbally and physically) towards her. For which Johnny Depp was even called a “wife-beater” by a prominent news publication. Depp settled the case by paying $7 million to Heard.
In 2019 Depp sued Heard for $50 Million for defamation and that he was the victim of the physical abuse and not the other way round. To this statement, many people have come forward in support of Depp. According to the declaration made in court by Tara Roberts, she recalled overhearing their conversation in which Heard was verbally abusive, called him names like old man, mocking him by saying his career was over and also body shaming him. She even recalled having a conversation with Depp about his relationship and that he wanted to end his marriage.
Last week, Johnny Depp’s ex-girlfriends, Winona Ryder and Vanessa Paradis came out in his support and claimed him to be a non-violent person in the court. Vanessa in her statement declared Depp as ‘kind’, ‘attentive’ and ‘non-violent’ and adding to that she said she has known Depp for many years, they were together for more than a decade, they even have kids together, and this whole time Depp has never been abusive towards her.
Heard denied these allegations by releasing a statement that said ‘experience of one woman can not define the experience of another woman’.
In early 2020, in support of his claim, Depp released an audio clip of his and Heard’s conversation which confirms the allegations that he made previously.
