Bogotá remains over 180 daily coronavirus infections

In Colombia 1,975 new cases were registered, 67 infected more than this Thursday.

This Friday, Colombia registered a rise in daily COVID-19 infections, for the third consecutive day. The Ministry of Health revealed that, in the last 24 hours, in Colombia 1,975 new cases were registered, 67 infected more than this Thursday.

Likewise, the number of deaths was 39, of which 26 belong to previous days.

With these figures, the total number of infections in Colombia reached 5,010,982 and deaths reached 127,456. The Ministry of Health issued a new invitation to continue with the vaccination scheme and continue with biosecurity measures in order to avoid a rebound in cases at all costs.

So far in the pandemic, Bogotá has registered a total of 1,455,918 infections, while Antioquia reached a total of 758,210 cases and Valle del Cauca 412,196. Thus the things and according to the most recent report of the Ministry, the capital of the country added today 181 new cases.

The report also indicates that 45,099 tests (24,546 PCR and 20,553 antigens) were processed. Meanwhile, e4,854,718 have recovered in the country after becoming infected with the coronavirus, while 11,907 cases remain active.
