The cast of Christopher Nolan’s next film Oppenheimer continues to grow. According to the Deadline site, Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr. are now said to be in talks to join Cillian Murphy in the Universal Pictures tent.
According to the publication, Emily Blunt is also in negotiations to join the cast of the film that Nolan is writing and will direct about a scientist who led the Manhattan Project that led to the invention of the atomic bomb.
The film will be released on July 21, 2023, a slot that was normally saved for Nolan films in the past.
It also coincides two weeks before the anniversary of the dropping of the bomb on Hiroshima, in Japan. The details behind who Damon and Downey Jr. will be playing on the project are being kept under wraps.
