This Friday, Variety magazine confirmed that the actress Rooney Mara has been chosen to play the legendary Audrey Hepburn in an upcoming biographical film that will be directed by Italian Luca Guadagnino.
Rooney Mara, who has been nominated twice for the Oscars, will also appear as producer of the film. However, so far no more details are known about this upcoming biopic that has fans of the fashion world excited.
For his part, director Luca Guadagnino is recognized, among other things, for having directed the film “Call Me By Your Name” in 2017, thanks to which he was nominated for Best Director at the Oscars, Critic’s Choice Awards, Golden Globes, among others.
Belgian-born actress Audrey Hepburn is considered one of the greatest female legends of American cinema and a fashion icon, at the level of other characters like Marilyn Monroe. In 1961 he starred in the film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” which launched it to international fame by being considered “culturally, historically and aesthetically significant” by the Library of Congress of the United States.
Audrey Hepburn is one of the few people in history to have won an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy and a Tony, and the first to win an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for a single performance: “Roman Holiday” from 1954.
